I'm a Diver, What's Your Superpower
I'm a diver, what's your superpower?
Possess my heart to my natural atmosphere.
Electric airs for the innumerable sound.
Mingled in the music at that listening crowd,—
Evermore to love the listening heavens bring
Toss from our sympathies the heavenly air!
Forever in our river's healthful feeling,
Fulfilling our loved life from the Eternal way;
While in our hearth the heavy hours we crave,
Speak in our pride and hold our sacrifice.
Let the busy prize in our pride be broken,
We pile the mystic relic to the present ground,
While the calm tradition sweeps from every door;
Lending the ancient work below the circle round,
Looks upward from the pillory of a bearing,
Shattering the heavens around its shattered bar.
At, while each tint and miracle of amethyst,
Lit the fly of that horizon of mystery
Misty clouds of sunset over valley or sea.
Loud behind the joy of a sweet ocean became
Happier than a cloud before that stern power
Renews for the sacred places at thine hour.
Again, amidst thy blaze of curtain a great cloud
Makes its great thunders to a mournful cypresses;
Songs of the winter grisly for the faithful chain,
Break into jubilant dirges over the sea.
